Role: Field Communications Technician (Entry Level Must be Local to Midland/ Odessa)

Position Description:

• Will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining multiple communication hardware devices, power systems and tower structures.
• Specializing in the programming, configuration and troubleshooting of field communication equipment.
• Must have proficiency in troubleshooting, identifying root cause problems, then resolve and document solution.
• Additional responsibilities include working safely and effectively managing workload in a fast paced, growth environment. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with customers, team members and management.
• Must have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Knowledge, understanding and ability to apply Ohms law.
• In depth knowledge of low voltage 12-to-48-volt DC power systems, including batteries, charge controllers, Inverters, solar panels, battery isolators.
• Knowledge and understanding of 120 volt AC circuits.
• Understanding of IP addressing, subnets and VLANs.
• Proficient in using test equipment - Multimeter, Battery tester, Cable qualifier, NetScout Network Analyzer, Wilson Cell Signal Analyzer.
• Aptitude to install, configure and troubleshoot various devices - Tropos routers, switches, PtP radios, PtMP access points/subscriber modules, Serial radios and terminal servers, Cell modems, boosters, extenders, Cameras (multiple makes and models).
• Ability to build and qualify CAT5 and LMR cables.
• Competence to safely work from heights (Man Lifts and tower structures).
• Ability to mount and align microwave dishes Job Requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Trade school degree preferred.

Position Details:

Location: Midland, TX

Pay Rate: $25-$30 per hour (M-F 50 hour work week)
